There are moments in life that are difficult to put into words.
Project GhostMode was created because I couldn't always explain what I was feeling, but I could tell a story.
Today, I'm excited to share the first chapter of that story.
This isn't a traditional audiobook. I wanted to create something that felt immersive, emotional, and true to the vision I've had since the beginning. Chapter One features two different narrators to represent the separation between Joshua and GhostBoy, two voices that symbolize the ongoing conversation between the person I was, the person I became, and the parts of myself I had to learn to understand.
Combined with carefully selected visuals and an emotional musical score, my hope is that this experience allows you to feel the story rather than simply listen to it.
Why Two Narrators?
One of the unique aspects of Project GhostMode is that GhostBoy isn't just another character.
He represents the parts of ourselves we often keep hidden, the pain, fear, trauma, doubt, and survival instincts that quietly shape who we become. Joshua tells the events as they happened, while GhostBoy gives a voice to the emotions that often go unheard.
That contrast is an important part of this project, and hearing both perspectives helps bring the story to life in a way that words on a page alone never could.
More Than an Audiobook
Project GhostMode is a blend of memoir, poetry, artwork, symbolism, and storytelling. Every chapter is meant to invite reflection, not just on my life, but on your own experiences as well.
Whether you've faced trauma, loss, self-doubt, or simply struggled to find your place in the world, I hope you discover something in this story that reminds you you're not alone.
